INFORMATION OF THE MAYOR OF THE COMMUNE SEJNY
Deaf people and people with difficulties in communication, petitioners of the Sejny Commune Office, in order to settle the matter in the Sejny Commune Office, may use the help of a sign language interpreter.
Eligible persons are obliged to report their intention to use the service of the selected sign language interpreter (or guide interpreter) with an indication of the chosen method of communication, at least 3 working days before the planned visit to the Office, by contacting the secretariat of the Sejny Commune Office, stating the date of arrival at the Commune Office Sejny and the way of providing feedback.

After receiving the application, the Sejny Commune Office will provide the assistance of a sign language interpreter within the time limit set by the authorized person.
The sign language interpreter service is free of charge for disabled people within the meaning of the provisions of the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled people (Journal of Laws of 2011, No. 209, item 1243, of 2012, item . 986).
The entitled person has the right to use the help of a person of his choice in order to settle the matter in the Sejny Commune Office, in order to facilitate communication with the entitled person and to help him in settling the matter (the selected person should be at least 16 years old).
The entitled person has the right to use a Polish Sign Language translator from the “Register of Polish Sign Language Interpreters” kept by the Podlasie Voivode, available on the website of the Podlasie Voivodship Office (www.bialystok.uw.gov.pl).
The Sejny Commune Office provides the documents necessary to settle the matter in a form available to authorized persons, upon their request.
